Have you ever wondered what would happen if a canon character was sucked into a world far from their own and forced to communicate via an online forum?
Have you ever imagined a character from one series meeting the same character only from another universe or series?
Have you ever imagined a character from one series interacting with another character from another series?
Are you tired and just want to join a forum where only dialogue posts are required; however, at the same time, want a good in-depth paragraph roleplay?
Many characters from all over various universes and series (books, video games, etc.) are being brought to a modern-day version of Earth in the Boston area. No longer in their own world, their own series, the only thing they find themselves with is a link to a forum upon which they meet others in the same predicament.
About us ;;
At Charchat you can sign up for any character (canon or original) with no application or layout needed. Treated like a real forum your characters can register and introduce themselves or talk to other characters up there. Your characters each can have their own account, like the way a real forum is, and they can edit their profile with facts or IC information (or, if you prefer, OOC information so people can know more about them).
We take in all sorts of skill-levels on our forum including the beginners at role-playing to the advanced.
If you’d like to make a list / profiles for your characters in an OOC area we have that as well. It is entirely optional, though! We do not require word counts or long profiles unless you’d like to make them.
A brief list of series that have been added to the site include:
Detective Conan, Homestuck, Legend of Zelda, Kuroshitsuji, Teen Titans, Pandora Hearts, Invader Zim, Star Wars, and many more!
If you want to join as a canon that is from a series not listed or an OC from any series then go right ahead! We are always interested in adding new series and characters to our wonderful bunch.
We also allow more then one of the same character. If you see a canon you love playing already taken then join as them anyway and don’t worry about it.
What to expect ;;
A high member count: Despite what the member count says it’s mostly just OC + canon characters. We really only have, at most, ten or eleven people on the forum but there’s always somebody on at some point and we get posts daily in OOC and IC areas.
A friendly community: We really do strive to make the site lax and make our members enjoy it. We love hearing suggestions and talking out of character as much as in-character and enjoy our members having a fun time in both sections.
We also just started hosting the RP forum favorite ‘Character of the Month’ awards.
