Canon Characters Sherlock Holmes Watson describes Holmes as "bohemian" in habits and lifestyle. According to Watson, Holmes is an eccentric, with no regard for contemporary standards of tidiness or good order. What appears to others as chaos, however, is to Holmes a wealth of useful information. Watson frequently makes note of Holmes's erratic eating habits. The detective is often described as starving himself at times of intense intellectual activity. Holmes has an ego that at times borders on arrogant, albeit with justification; he draws pleasure from baffling police inspectors with his superior deductions. He does not seek fame, however, and is usually content to allow the police to take public credit for his work.Moriarty Cunning and clever, Moriarty is Sherlocks 'arch-nemesis' and likes nothing more than to watch Sherlock 'dance', finding it intriguing how he solves mysteries. He is a criminal and keen to have Sherlock and Watson out of his way and would do so by any means necessary.Dr John Watson Watson is described as a crack shot and an excellent doctor and surgeon. Highly intelligent, if lacking in Holmes's insight, he serves as a perfect foil for Holmes: the ordinary man against the brilliant, emotionally-detached analytical machine. Watson is a capable and brave individual, whom Holmes does not hesitate to call upon for both moral and physical assistance.Mrs. Hudson Mrs. Hudson is the landlady of the house 221B Baker Street, in which Holmes lives. Mrs. Hudson is a woman who wants the home to be clean and tidy and often fights with Holmes for this. Watson describes her as a very good cook but often reminds the two that she is simply their landlord, not their housekeeper! Mycroft Holmes The elder brother of Sherlock [By 7 years]. Possessing deductive powers exceeding even those of his younger brother, Mycroft is nonetheless incapable of performing detective work similar to that of Sherlock as he is unwilling to put in the physical effort necessary to bring cases to their conclusions.Detective Lestrade A Detective at Scotland Yard, he often turns to Sherlock for help in cases he struggles to solve and even though he would never admit it, he marvels the man. Impatient at times, he is incredibly passionate about his job and very good at it [or atleast he thinks so] and is determined to do whatever is required in order to solve a case. 31 years of age, Molly is a Mortician and is completely infatuated by that of Sherlock even though her constant attempts to get him to notice her mainly end in disappointement and utter confusion. She's an intelligent girl and one who likes to be in control of any situation. Currently living in her apartment with her new cat 'Toby' and is still trying in her efforts to catch Sherlock's eye.Sarah Sawyer She works as a GP along with John, having met him in the surgery having to cover for him when he fell asleep in his office and failed to see any patients. She's brave and holds a strong sense of curiosity, she's also not afraid to voice her own opinion when it matters.
